Straying away from sugar for a bit, super short post!

I've been to Miso at World Square a few times before, but everyone tells me it's expensive, especially just for lunch. Sure, there are many Japanese restaurants out there that do cheaper lunch deals. You could probably go to a decent sushi train and it'd be cheaper there, but you won't get Miso's famous tonkatsu (served with Bulldog sauce, no less!) and you won't be getting deep fried rock oysters!

Miso does special lunch deals! Still not extremely cheap, but for less than $15, you can get a set like this.
Items include:
Orange and mango juice
Deep fried grain fed pork tenderloin and deep fried Sydney rock oyster

Tuna sashimi, zuke style

Sweet potato tempura, dashi maki (Japanese egg omelette with spinach), potato salad, brocolli
Akitaotome (Japanese premium rice)
Shinshuu Miso
After going to so many Japanese restaurants, I still find Miso serving one of the better lunches out there, using fresh ingredients, visually appealing for those who like judging things by its cover (I do!) and tasting great. I can kind of see them trying to balance out the nutrients there, having vegetables, fish, pork, fruit juice... but! This $14 something lunch set is really limited- they only serve 15 of these every lunchtime *cue My Boss My Hero pudding scenes* so you really have to get there early.
Otherwise, if you missed out on their special lunch sets, their usual lunch menu sets are still there, but of course, you'd be complaining about how expensive they are. I think the Special's menu changes a little here and there, especially the drink. When I went a second time, it was a yoghurt fruit drink which was quite nice, and instead of tempura sweet potato, they mashed the sweet potato into a smooth paste, which was like eating baby food but it was SO good. Sweet potato in general is good anyway.
I think I'm talking too much. Goodnight.
